In the app
Open Happenous, go to Settings, then Your data, then Delete your account. Type DELETE, and confirm it is you: with your password, or with Google if you joined with Google. Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out everywhere.
Without the app
Email hello@cosmonus.com from the email address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my Happenous account”. We may ask you to confirm it is you before we delete anything. We acknowledge your request within 24 hours and delete the account within 15 days, and we write back when it is done.
What is deleted, and what is kept
Deleted at once: your name, bio, photo, date of birth, gender, city and interests; your Moments and their photos and videos; your Buddies, saved Activities, notifications and devices. Your messages disappear from every conversation and are deleted within 30 days. Activities you host that have not started are cancelled, and everyone coming is told.
- Kept for 180 days, then deleted: the email address and phone number you registered with, because the Information Technology Rules require it. They are stored apart from everything else and used only to answer a lawful request.
- Kept, with no name attached: Activities that already happened and your check-ins at them, reviews, and reports, because other people’s records depend on them.
